This marks our one week anniversary from our neighborhood meeting about the road.
During this week:
Krysia was able to talk to Greg Segar on Monday and find out that the reason that he could not give us minimum specs on the gravel road is because they no longer create gravel roads. He did say that we would have written confirmation/approval to have our road accepted before we spent the money to bring the road up to whatever standards will be necessary.
She also asked if we could try to save money/time and get copies of the road survey done by the utility companies, and he said yes. Also, if we are not able to get copies that way, she asked if it was possible to get the surveying done cheaper by going through a student surveyor that might be enrolled at a tech school of some sort…and he said yes, but he did not personally know of a school that offered that.
Krysia has called to have all the utilities marked in and around the road. You may or may not have noticed that there is already some markings. Please take note of where these markings are on your property. She has also called and talked with one of the utility companies (I think the gas), and asked if she may have a copy of their last survey done of the road/area, and they agreed to send her one. This will possibly save us from having to hire a surveying company.
