Hello fellow residents and neighbors of Jamilyn Ln! My name is Christine May. My family and I have lived here, on Jamilyn, for 6 years and I have watched our poor little gravel road go from fairly bad to really awful.
A few years ago, in an attempt to get our road repaired, I discovered that our road has never been a public road (despite the text on the legal documents). I was able to, at least, get Missouri Department of Transportation to pave both of our entrances onto Hampton Rd. We also came together as a neighborhood to fund a few dump trucks of new gravel...which seemed to have disappeared almost as quick as it was put down.
We are now faced terrible drive conditions and the big question hanging over our heads: "What are we going to do about it?"
Krysia and Angela have lead the way in researching ideas and communicating with the Platte County Commissioner's office. We have a small window of opportunity to try and get something accomplished. I have sent out a letter with as much information as I know, and would like to get everyone involved in saving our road. Please take a moment to consider and act. Thanks!
